Deep spiral concaves

tail view (3K bytes)Bruce Wylie looks at DSC board (11K bytes) dsc2.jpg (7002 bytes)
bulletfirst prototype 1986

explaining the concept to Bruce Wylie during the PNG Cup: the concaves deepen tailwards and spiral outwards, raising a ridge on the underside. No fin is required. Good speed potential in a straight line, not so good around corners! - tended to stall when carve gybing. Home made, glass-reinforced epoxy over expanded polystyrene core
